ITALSAMP's samplers contribute to improving the quality of spectrometric analysis sampling. They have several advantages over the conventional system, including:

- Shorter preparation time. Produces "coins" with a superior surface finish, reducing sanding time;
- Standard sample. Uniform cocking (for cast iron samples). Does not produce bad spots, improving the reproducibility of analyses;
- Flexibility. Allows samples to be taken in pans or at any point in the process;
- No contamination. As no ladles are required, the material is collected directly from the liquid metal, free from inclusions and oxidation.

ITALSAMP: simultaneously collects the "coin" for analysis in the spectrometer and the pin for combustion analysis, in cast iron, by direct immersion in the liquid metal. The internal mold made up of two round steel plates ensures that the coin is cooled. A cardboard tube from the disposable thermocouple already in use is used to guide the sampler into the metal. There are also versions with the tube already inserted.

After collection, simply break (collapse) the collector into a sand collection container, exposing the sample. Approximate immersion time of 6 seconds.

General characteristics

‍TheITALSAMP is a sample collector directly from the liquid bath for making samples for spectrographic or laboratory tests, with versions for collection in Iron and Steel. The versions have two side holes, the one nearest the top of which is responsible for filling the "coin" chamber (conventional sample). The lower hole is responsible for making the pin for laboratory analysis. They are designed to cool the sample perfectly, guaranteeing the sample's reliability. The ITALSAMP, suitable for collecting iron samples, has a thickness of between 4mm and 6mm. Its "coins" have a diameter of 35mm. The ITALSAMP version for steel is the sampler with a sample diameter of 35mm and a thickness of 12mm. The hole in its base is responsible for fitting the cardboard tube, of a specific size for the process. It can be used for thermocouple tubes already used in the temperature measurement process, tubes purchased separately or with versions that have 530mm and 780mm tubes already installed.
