The ITALCARB "K" is a disposable sensor used to determine Carbon Equivalent (%Ce), Carbon (%C) and Silicon (%Si), as well as monitoring the metallurgical quality of the molten bath (Nucleation Potential).
Request a quoteITALCARB K are sensors developed for the thermal analysis process of gray, nodular and vermicular cast irons. With a simple sample of the liquid metal during the melting process, the CARBOMAX PLUS or CARBOMAX DELTA instruments can determine the chemical composition of your material or the metallurgical status of your metal.
ITALCARB K-U TE - Carbon determination cups, with the addition of Tellurium, for the formation of white iron (precipitation of carbides, essential for measuring instruments, to find the parameters and report the results) in the metastable system, to determine the contents (%) of Equivalent Carbon (Ce), Carbon (C) and Silicon (Si).
ITALCARB K-U ST - Cups without the addition of Tellurium, for monitoring the metallurgical condition of the metal, metal cooling curve without interference from additives, in the stable system. With this sensor it is possible to predict the potential for nucleation, graphitization and graphitic expansion, using information on Carbon Equivalent (Ce), Eutectic Supercooling Temperature (TSE or Undecooling), Eutectic Recalescence (REC) and Eutectic Delta (Difference between TSE and the theoretical Stable Eutectic Line).
ITALCARB K-U TE + S - Carbon determination cups, with the balanced addition of Tellurium and Sulphur, to determine the contents (%) of Equivalent Carbon (Ce), Carbon (C) and Silicon (Si) in treated irons after the Nodularization reaction. The purpose of tellurium is the formation of white iron (precipitation of carbides, essential for measuring instruments, finding the parameters and reporting the results). In turn, Sulphur acts as a neutralizer of the action of Magnesium in the post-treatment samples, in the metastable system.
All versions are supplied in boxes of 100 units.
